An iconic pair of dancing disc earrings are hand crafted today in New York City with 18kt Fairmined Ecological gold.
Born in Sonyea, New York Spratling studied architecture at Tulane University. He established a small workshop in Taxco, Mexico in the 1930s-1950s where he employed over 500 artisans to skillfully craft his designs.
William Spratling was known as the “father of contemporary Mexican silver” and greatly influenced 20th Century Mexican jewelry design.
The design is unchanged, and the earrings are precisely as the original artist conceptualized them.
Each piece is made in a limited run and engraved with the Futura symbol signifying certified Fairmined Ecological gold.
